HERITAGE

SERI MUTIARA OF ​TYT PULAU PINANG A RESIDENCE

➤ 2023 – RM11 mill

The Seri Mutiara Residence, the official residence of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang (TYT), is an important heritage property with significant historical, cultural, and administrative value.

A comprehensive programme of restoration, upgrading, and refurbishment works was undertaken on a design and build basis.

The project objectives was to create a balance between the conservation of heritage character with modern upgrades to ensure the residence continues to serve effectively as both an official residence and a venue for ceremonial and state functions.

PALACE

ISTANA BRUNEI DARUSALAM

➤ 2017 – NDA

The Istana Brunei Darussalam project involved the comprehensive design, procurement, and interior fit-out of a 100,000 square foot palace, marking it as a highly prestigious and complex undertaking in the region. Executed by a consortium of Malaysian and Bruneian contractors, the project showcased specialized expertise in luxury design, project management, and heritage-sensitive interior works, with a focus on sourcing high-quality materials, fittings, soft furnishings, and custom furniture from global suppliers to meet the Client’s expectations.

Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the project was completed within budget and to the highest standards of craftsmanship, reinforcing the Istana’s status as a national and cultural landmark.

TRANSPORTATION HUB

HENTIAN PUDURAYA KUALA LUMPUR

➤ 2011 – RM98 mill

The Pudu Raya Bus Terminal Project transformed the iconic 1970s terminal into a modern multipurpose Main Transportation Hub for Kuala Lumpur. The aging structure posed major architectural, engineering, and construction challenges, requiring innovative design-and-build solutions to create a safe, functional, and future-ready facility.

The project balanced technical excellence with sensitive urban integration, ensuring the new hub met contemporary standards while strengthening its role as a key gateway in the city’s transport network. Delivered on a fast-track basis, the project was successfully completed within 9 months, on time and within budget.

OFFICE

AFFIN BANK REBRANDING PROGRAMME

➤ 2007 – RM18 mill

Web Brothers Contract was appointed following a successful design competition to spearhead the rebranding and standardization of Affin Bank’s banking halls nationwide. The project’s central objective was to create a modern, ergonomic, and customer-focused environment that reflects the bank’s brand identity while enhancing staff productivity and customer experience.

The assignment encompassed the design and rollout of uniform counters, design features, and office equipment across all Affin Bank branches in Malaysia. Particular emphasis was placed on developing ergonomical workspaces that promote efficiency for staff, coupled with welcoming, conducive customer areas to elevate service interactions.

This nationwide implementation ensured that every branch delivers a consistent look, feel, and functional standard, reinforcing Affin Bank’s brand presence and strengthening its image as a modern and customer-centric financial institution.

OFFICE

KENANGA INTERNATIONAL BUILDING

➤ 2005 – RM38 mill

The refurbishment and upgrading of the Kenanga International Building, spanning 35,000 square feet, aim to transform the space into a modern, functional, and inviting environment. The project encompasses key areas including office spaces, a main lobby, an Austin Chase coffee house, and a central foyer. The scope of work includes the installation of loose and built-in furniture, as well as comprehensive finishes for walls, ceilings, floors, partitions, and carpets. Additionally, the project involves the integration of advanced IT and security systems, including necessary equipment, to ensure a seamless and secure user experience. This holistic approach will enhance both the aesthetic appeal and operational efficiency of the building.

HOTEL

ROYAL BINTANG HOTEL, THE CURVE DAMANSARA

➤ 2006 – RM35 mill

The Royal Bintang Hotel was Boustead Holdings’ first business-class hotel, establishing a hospitality landmark in the prime commercial hub of The Curve, Damansara. The 150-room, RM35 million fully serviced hotel was designed with modern business amenities and contemporary interiors to meet the needs of business travelers. The project was executed in phases.

The project emphasized comfort, efficiency, and functionality while ensuring seamless integration between front-of-house guest areas and back-of-house operations for service quality and operational efficiency. It set a benchmark for business-class hospitality in a vibrant urban setting, combining modern conveniences with an enhanced guest experience.

HOTEL

OPERO HOTEL, JOHOR BAHRU

➤ 2006 – RM20 mill

Web Brothers Contract undertook the full fit-out and interior development of the 150-room Opero Hotel, located in Southkey, Johor Bahru’s emerging commercial hub. The scope covered all public spaces and guest rooms, with designs addressing both guest experience and operational efficiency.

The hotel embodies the standards of a modern business-class facility, combining functional layouts, contemporary aesthetics, and practical back-of-house integration to deliver comfort, style, and smooth operations.

HOTEL

PULAU TENGAH RESORT MERSING, JOHOR

➤ 2006 – RM18 mill

Batu Batu Resort is an exclusive private island retreat off the coast of Mersing, Johor. The project involved the full interior design of the resort, including 33 beachfront villas, a spa villa, hilltop guest rooms, and various food and beverage facilities.

Built with tropical timber, the resort was designed to blend naturally with its surroundings while highlighting stunning island and seafront views. Interiors draw from the natural landscape, combining elegance and comfort to create an authentic island experience. The result is a sustainable luxury retreat that reflects the unique character of Pulau Tengah while offering world-class hospitality.
